Many of us have heard the ‘I have been fat all my life…’ story.
Well, I have not always been fat. When I was about 20 years old I concluded that if I wanted to stay slim, I had to deprive myself of food and in addition, drink laxatives to take out the ones I eventually ate. Well, you know what they meant in today’s world. When I started a family I just could not keep the weight off no matter what I did. My old method seemed to have failed me and was no longer effective.
By the time I had my second child I was somewhat depressed, angry, frustrated and at the end of my tether. I finally gave in to the evident fact that my dieting days were over and I needed to change my lifestyle.
Yes, I had to change my lifestyle – that was the saving phrase I had subconsciously been waiting years to embrace!
From my personal experience, I discovered that losing weight goes way beyond just a “diet”. It has to be accompanied by life style changes needed to yield real practical result and put a final stop to a life of one failed diet after another.
Helping women grow in confidence in their bodies, minds and spirit is my passion.
I am here to support and help you reach that place.
Lifestyle change is the best solution to long term weight management. Research has shown that diets do not only leave us starving, cranky and emotional drained, but they have no lasting effects. You cannot achieve permanent weight loss with a quick-fix diet. The best way to get the body you want is:
- By making weight loss a permanent lifestyle change
- By making permanent changes to your food choices and daily living
- A general commitment to your health for life.
Simple daily changes like using the stairs instead of the lift, learning how to read food labels, keeping a food log, learning about portion control, swapping supermarket readymade meals for home-made meals will all go a long way in bringing you to your weight loss goals.
The way you live everyday determines your choices. These choices are what determine your weight loss success. By making simple and practical changes to your lifestyle, you will be in complete control in the way that springboards you to your desired weight goal.

Having “weight loss support friends” is one of the most essential parts of weight loss than the credit already ascribed to the system. Support means: A community of like-minded people who can share your highs and lows People who will understand your challenges and your goals People to share tips with or perhaps even compete with in a friendly, well-meaning manner It is absolutely fun and definitely far easier to stick to a weight loss plan when you have likeminded buddies.
